Courtney was part of the Sum of Us campaign, protesting Westpac bank's potential involvement in the funding of the Adani mine. The video has nearly 250,000 views, and shows that a mine would destroy the Great Barrier Reef, and be a terrible, terrible idea.

God's 17 has made the Official Selection for the Los Angeles Web Festival - the world's oldest, largest, and most popular web series festival. The whole team are so grateful for the inclusion, and excited to be in attendance at the 2017 festival. VTV has been included as an Official Selection for the prestigious HollyWeb Festival, in Hollywood, CA. The team is so excited for VTV's continued success!

Courtney's performance was "energetic, strident and skillful". Last week, Courtney had the joy of reprising her role as Runt in Throwing Shade Theatre Company's return season of Disco Pigs. Courtney played alongside Jeff Hampson, to lovely audiences, and a wonderful review from Sydney Arts Guide (read it here). Thank you so much for an incredible return season! The multi-award winning series VTV is now in development, with the next incarnation of the project including Australian superstars Michael Caton and Shane Jacobson. In July, Throwing Shade Theatre Company's production of No Exit premiered at The Fusebox Theatre, Sydney. Courtney played Estelle, alongside Darcie Irwin-Simpson as Inez Serrano, and Harley Connor as Joseph Garcin. The production received some wonderful reviews, which can be read here: ★ Sydney Arts Guide "Ms Powell should be congratulated on her performance. She managed to best bring out the dark humour of Satre’s work. She had great comic timing, which was put to good use especially in the middle part of this play." ★ Eugene Thinks ★ Lisa Thatcher Last month, Courtney was featured in The Weekly Times, for her work in VTV, and its big wins at the Los Angeles Web Festival, California. On April 24th, Courtney was honoured to represent the new Australian series VTV at the Los Angeles Web Festival, at the Warner Bros. Studios in California. VTV was nominated for a total of eight awards, and won big on the night! The show picked up Best Comedy Series, Best Guest Actor (beating out Jerry Seinfeld, no less!), Best Sound Design, and Best Special/Visual Effects. It was an honour to be included in such exceptional Australian company, including Starting From Now, Airlock, The Film Lab, Two Refugees and a Blonde, and Bedhead. On behalf of the entire VTV cast and creative team, Courtney was so honoured to represent the team, and to take home some exceptional awards.
Big thanks goes out to the Los Angeles Web Festival team, to Warner Bros. Studios, and to the incredible creatives that were showcased over the weekend. Disco Pigs by Enda Walsh is a dark, dangerous play, showcasing a friendship between two seventeen year olds, in a 1990s Cork. Courtney plays Runt, to Jeffrey Hampson’s Pig, and the play is directed by acclaimed filmmaker and director Andrew Langcake.

They were joined by Anthony Callea (Australian Idol), and Sam Moran (The Wiggles), and welcomed in the festive season!
